The weekend of May 16-17 will bring the first Rails Girls event to Santiago, Chile.
RailsGirls is an international series of events, giving women the opportunity to learn to program and build the Internet. Events are being organized in Sydney, Cairo, Warsaw, Tel Aviv — dozens of cities around the globe. RailsGirls is an international movement creating a lasting impact. For the first time ever, we’re brining RailsGirls to Santiago, Chile.
Thanks to our generous sponsors Groupon, En1Mes (en1mes.com), and Startup Chile, this multi-day event will be entirely free to participants. During the weekend, participants learn the Rails programming framework and build their own Rails applications from scratch. The event includes small group work led by experienced Rails coaches and short focused talks on programming, design, and web.
The event will take place during the evening of Friday, May 16, and the full day Saturday, May 17, at the Groupon LatAm office in Santiago (Metro Tobalaba). Women who are interested in participating in this free event should fill out the brief application at http://www.railsgirlschile.com/. For more information follow us on twitter: @railsgirlschile.
