SANTIAGO, Chile, June 10th— Start-Up Chile announces the opening of its 8th round of applications seeking to select, fund, and host up to 100 startup companies in Chile, giving them access to a global network for those determined to make their projects global. Since the program´s opening on 2010, more than 670 startups coming from 50 different countries have participated in Start-Up Chile.

Applicants will be able to submit their applications via Start-Up Chile´s website between June 10th and June 27th. The program is open to people of all nationalities, whether they live in Chile or not. Participants must commit to live inChile for at least 6 months and will receive a 1 year work visa, USD 40k, and work space so they can work on their startups.
The application process closes on June 27th at 23:59:59 hrs, SCL time. Applicants will receive a letter of acceptance/rejection on August 29th.

About Start-Up Chile
Start-Up Chile is a program created by the Chilean Government that seeks to attract early-phase, high-potential entrepreneurs to bootstrap their startups using Chile as a platform to go global. The program offers its participants a global network in order to achieve this.
During the six months the participants must establish themselves in Chile, for which they receive a 1-year work visa and USD$40k. The objective, besides developing their startups, is to create and foster networks with the local entrepreneurship ecosystem.
