Chile’s Startup Week in Review….

Gran Chile startup founders and tech entrepreneurs! I am so proud of you. Indeed you have come along way since January 12, 2012. (Note: The week’s highlights and new contest launches follow intro).

I see you are taking your place in the world not as merely startup founders and tech entrepreneurs from Chile, but as rising global startup thought leaders launching out of Latin America; and the next generation of Angels/VC founders and philanthropists in the making.

Over recent weeks, you have been crushing all the misconceptions and beliefs that are often heard among entrepreneurial and startup circles in Latin America.

Startups and tech entrepreneurs – here’s how you are blowing IT up and making big things happen in (and for) Chile:

The LAUNCH Festival is doing so well we want to get more folks involved from outside the USA.

Great ideas and startups can come from anywhere today, and Launch organizers are particularly interested in bringing more startups from Israel, Korea, Japan, China and South America (and of course beyond!) to the LAUNCH Festival DEMO Pit in San Francisco March 7 & 8.

LAUNCH will pick up the entire cost (except your travel) to ensure we have a truly international event.

You just have to get your team there.

(A Chilean mobile startup that we can’t mention is going to launch at this conference)

Big Thanks!

I sincerely want to thank you all for your emails with your ideas to grow the AndesBeat movement; your activity on the social engagement side; your referrals to your friends startup projects; invitations to your events; getting us connected to other startup networks outside of Santiago; and your story suggestions and updates while you are in stealth mode and are building the ideas in the early stages.

In addition to this activity you created, we are also happy to announce we have recently entered some amazing partnerships at AndesBeat. Over the coming weeks you will start to see some new things come to surface that we have been working on to help you further build your brand and name and reach the international investment community and global marketplace.
